She has served as Chair, Vice Chair and Member of organisations across health, technology, academia, the penal system and veterans’ affairs.

 

Current roles include Vice Chair of NICE’s Quality Standards Advisory Committee, membership of NIHR’s Programme Grants for Applied Research, research projects at the Universities of Oxford and Kent,

Thames Valley Police's

Ethics Think Tank

and sitting as a NED

for an advisory body to the

UK Ministry of Defence.

 

She previously has held roles with

Health Education England, the Independent Monitoring Board of HMP Erlestoke and the

British Research Council Partnership for

Health, Wealth and Innovation.

She has particular expertise in technology risk, especially in clarifying this for non-technologists.
